LVMH runs roughly 80 billion euros of revenue across 75 maisons in more than 100 countries, and Franck Le Moal, its Global Technical Officer, describes an information system that no longer fits inside a single global vendor. His formulation at VivaTech in June 2026 was blunt: the era of one worldwide solution is over. What replaces it is a regionalised map. Google Cloud carries data across all the maisons since 2021. Alibaba Cloud, alongside Huawei and Tencent, covers roughly 25 maisons in China. SAP holds finance, supply and manufacturing, Salesforce sits beside it, and Scaleway now takes sensitive data, European e-commerce workloads and cybersecurity tooling, with proofs of concept finished and deployment started at Sephora and Louis Vuitton.

The vocabulary matters here. Le Moal refuses the word "souverain" as ambiguous and calls LVMH hybrid and autonomous instead, while still claiming a responsibility toward the European ecosystem. That distinction is what makes the group a recurring reference point: it is a private multinational arriving at a European provider through a reading of tech geopolitics (an assertive United States, a China closing and regulating to force localisation, an awakening Europe) rather than through a procurement mandate.

The open question sits one layer up. On AI and Nvidia GPUs, Le Moal plans nothing short term but keeps open-source models on Scaleway in view, for autonomy and economics both, in a world he calls entirely unpredictable.
