Qodo — Organization. sector: AI code quality platform (formerly Codium)

Qodo, the platform formerly known as «Codium» and led by «Itamar Friedman», surveyed 609 developers for its «State of AI Code Quality 2025» report. The findings describe a market where adoption has outrun trust: 82% of respondents use AI tools daily or weekly, 59% run three or more, and 65% say at least a quarter of their commits are AI-generated or AI-shaped. Yet 76% of developers who hit frequent hallucinations hesitate to ship AI code without human checks, and even among those reporting low hallucination rates, 75% still refuse to merge without manual verification.

The report's own diagnosis points away from hallucination as the primary defect. 65% of developers say the AI misses relevant context during refactoring, a problem more frequent than fabrication itself, which is why Qodo argues for persistent, automated context learning across the whole repository rather than manual context selection. The company positions the answer as an agentic code-quality platform integrating AI across the full development cycle.

The numbers Qodo publishes also cut in its favour commercially. 81% of fast-moving teams using AI for code review report quality improvements versus 55% without; only 3.8% of developers currently live inside the self-reinforcing "Confidence Flywheel" the report describes.

That commercial position has a name in the wider analysis: the "Vibe Check" economy, where Qodo and CodeRabbit sell review agents that scan for the defects «vibe coding» introduces. The vendor measuring the trust gap is the vendor selling the instrument to close it.
