Deep Research Veille Interne authored two internal reports dated 12 August 2026, both in a What, So What, Now What format, and both giving a full section to auditing what the investigation could not confirm.

The first report asks whether the desktop applications of ChatGPT and Claude beat their web versions. Desktop and web call exactly the same cloud models, so every difference sits in the application envelope. The qualitative consensus favouring desktop is solid and sourced, while nearly every figure supporting it fails verification: seven widely repeated numbers are classed as unconfirmed. Its own formulation is that the desktop advantage is a promise of implementation rather than a law of nature. The gain is one of friction, real only for intensive use.

The second consolidates the public record on Buzz, Block's workspace. The available benchmarks there come from Block's self-evaluation of its own system, with no independent measurement. One figure is corrected precisely: the announced 33% is the ratio of tasks completed, twenty against fifteen out of forty-four, not the score, which moves from 59.1% to 71.5%.

For CIOs, the report says to disable Computer Use and Cowork by default, scope the authorised MCP extensions, and organise updates through MDM before any desktop rollout. For anyone publishing on the subject, it says to quote only confirmed verbatims and dates and to produce a reproducible in-house mini-benchmark instead of reusing unverifiable numbers.
